An American economist named Jared Bernstein was born in 1955. After completing his double bass studies with Orin O’Brien at the Manhattan School of Music, Bernstein received a bachelor’s degree in music. Along with a Master of Social Work from Hunter College, he also holds a Master of Philosophy, a Master of Social Work, and a PhD in social welfare from Columbia University.
